I passed this sign while walking down Rue de la Liberté a few days ago, and it took me awhile to figure out what was wrong with it.  Later I went back and photographed it, as proof that it’s not my fault if I mélange the French and the English un peu, okay?

Any Alaskans reading this might be interested in The Yiddish Policemen’s Union, an excellent novel by the excellent Michael Chabon–although it should be mentioned that The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay is better.  This in no way lessens the quality of the former novel, since the latter is perfect.
