Any Alaskans reading this might be interested in The Yiddish Policemen’s Union, an excellent novel by the excellent Michael Chabon–although it should be mentioned that The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay is better.  This in no way lessens the quality of the former novel, since the latter is perfect.
